The Notorious Tuk Tuks

This mode of transportation is awesome during rush hour to squeeze between lanes. A word of caution though, if you are 'promised' a cheap ride between the temples for less than 50baht, there might be a detour to a few jewellery and handicraft shops. Complete waste of time for me! Take the cab instead, reasonable fare and comfortable ride

Street Snacks and Coffee Anyone?

This is some crispy pancake filled with sweet stuff in the middle I picked up along the street of Bangkok. Try this for a quick sugar fix!

A bowl of dark pork broth noodles with all the trimmings

Why not finish off with a cup of iced cafe latte? Plenty of mobile coffee carts around Bangkok to cool you down on a hot suny day

Where to stay in Bangkok

There was 5 of us travelling so getting 3 hotel rooms seems abit lonely for the 5th person so I looked for apartments. Thumbs up to this place! http://www.bangkokpatio.com/ It's rather new and clean with great security. They even provide free tuk tuk services to and fro the nearest BTS station located just 5 minutes away.

Bangkok here I come!

Yummy food, check out the menu! Too bad the pork satay was finished.

I love this little Thai cafe hidden in the residential area of Phayathai. Great ambience and good food! Definitely off the beaten track of 'touristy' food joints.

New to the world of blogging!

I'm so excited! I've achieved my new year's resolution of getting a blog and it's only mid-year. Ain't I efficient? :)

The idea behind this blog is to record all my travel thoughts as memories, no matter how vivid fades with time. I have already forgotten the important details of my Europe travel during student years.
